We help you find
the right legal advice.
Most legal questions don’t need a solicitor. Some do. We help you know the difference — without the jargon, the sales pressure, or the hourly rate.
If you’ve ever had a legal question — a tenancy that’s going sour, an employer behaving oddly, a contract you don’t understand, a family matter that needs handling — you’ll know the first hurdle isn’t the law itself. It’s working out what kind of help you actually need.
For most people the instinct is to call a solicitor. For most questions, that’s overkill. For some questions, a solicitor is exactly right and anything less is a waste of time. Knowing the difference saves money, stress, and often a week of anxiety about whether you’re overreacting.
That’s what we do. We help people find the right kind of legal advice for what they’re actually dealing with.
What we actually are
LegalDocuments.co.uk is a legal information and signposting service. We’re not a law firm. We’re not regulated by the SRA. We don’t give legal advice.
What we do is give you plain-English guidance on what kind of help your situation needs, and then point you to the right place to get it:
1. Templates — if you need a legal document, we offer professionally drafted UK templates (supplied by Net Lawman, a UK legal publisher).
2. Guides — if you need to understand a form or an area of law, we have plain-English guides to every major UK government form and most areas of civil law.
3. Helpline — if you need to talk something through, we book calls with experienced legal advisers (delivered by Law Express Ltd). £49 personal / £79 business.
4. Solicitor referrals — if your matter genuinely needs representation, we point you to the Law Society’s free directory of SRA-regulated solicitors.
We think the legal industry is structured for lawyers, not for people with legal questions. The ladder starts too high — you’re either talking to a lawyer at £200/hour or Googling at 2am hoping the first Reddit answer is right.
We sit in the gap. Plain information first. A conversation with an experienced adviser if that’s what you need. A solicitor if your matter is genuinely complex enough to need one.
How we make money
Transparency matters here, because our whole positioning is that we’re pointing you at the best option — not the most profitable one. If we were quietly pushing you toward paid partners over better free alternatives, that claim would collapse.
So, in plain English:
We earn commission from Net Lawman when you buy a template (at no extra cost to you). We split the helpline booking fee with Law Express. We earn nothing from solicitor referrals — we send you to the Law Society’s free directory on purpose. Full detail is on our affiliate disclosure page.
Brad founded LegalDocuments.co.uk to close the gap between “I have a legal question” and “I know what to do”. Background in civil and commercial law. Believes the legal industry spends too much time talking to itself and not enough time making things understandable.
Who’s behind this
LegalDocuments.co.uk is operated by Spring Incubator Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales under company number 08582887.
Our helpline service is delivered by Law Express Ltd, a specialist legal guidance provider used by UK insurers and corporates. Our document templates are supplied by Net Lawman Ltd, a UK legal publisher that’s been drafting legal documents since 1999. Neither company is a law firm, and neither provides regulated legal advice.
