Privacy Policy

This notice explains how LegalDocuments.co.uk handles your personal data. It is written to comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

LegalDocuments.co.uk is operated by Spring Incubator Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales under company number 08582887, with its registered office at 44 West Broadway, Bristol, BS9 4TB. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Spring Incubator Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.

We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. If you have any question about this notice or how we use your data, contact us.

The personal data we collect

We only collect what we need:

  • When you book a helpline call: your name, email address, the call type you booked (personal or business), and your marketing-consent choice. Your card details are entered directly into Stripe's hosted checkout — we never see or store your full card number.
  • When you contact us: your name, email address and the contents of your message.
  • When you use the website: if (and only if) you accept analytics cookies, standard analytics data such as pages viewed, approximate location (from your IP, which Google Analytics anonymises), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.

We do not operate user accounts, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. The site and the helpline are intended for adults (18+).

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • Taking and fulfilling your helpline booking, and sending your confirmation — lawful basis: performance of a contract.
  • Notifying our helpline provider so they can deliver your call — lawful basis: performance of a contract.
  • Replying to enquiries you send us — lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to you.
  • Sending marketing emails — lawful basis: your consent (only if you opt in; you can withdraw at any time).
  • Measuring and improving the website with analytics — lawful basis: your consent (via the cookie banner).
  • Meeting our legal, accounting and fraud-prevention obligations — lawful basis: legal obligation / legitimate interests.

Who we share it with (our processors)

We use a small number of trusted service providers who process personal data on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions:

  • Stripe — payment processing for helpline bookings.
  • Law Express Ltd — delivers the helpline call you book; we share your name and contact details so an adviser can call you.
  • Resend — sends your booking confirmation and other transactional or (if you consent) marketing emails.
  • Supabase — securely stores your booking record on servers in the United Kingdom (London region).
  • Google Analytics — website analytics, only after you accept analytics cookies.
  • Vercel — hosts the website.

Where you click through to buy a document template, you are taken to Net Lawman, who become responsible for any data you give them under their own privacy policy. We do not sell your personal data to anyone, and we do not pass it to marketers without your consent.

International transfers

Some of our processors are based outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on a UK adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) so your data receives an equivalent level of protection.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records for as long as needed to deliver the service and to meet our legal and accounting obligations (generally up to 6 years for financial records). Enquiry emails are kept only as long as needed to deal with your query. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained for the period set in our Google Analytics configuration.

Cookies

We set a cookie only to remember your consent choice. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are set only if you accept them via our cookie banner — by default they are denied, using Google Consent Mode. You can change your choice at any time, and you can manage cookies in your browser. For more detail, see our cookie policy.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data; to have it corrected or erased; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing already carried out). To exercise any of these, contact us and we will respond within one month.

You also have the right to complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please contact us before going to the ICO — but you can complain to the ICO at any time.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The version published here is the one that applies when you use the site. This notice was last reviewed in June 2026.
