Privacy Policy

This notice explains how LegalDocuments.co.uk handles your personal data. It is written to comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

LegalDocuments.co.uk is operated by Spring Incubator Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales under company number 08582887, with its registered office at 44 West Broadway, Bristol, BS9 4TB. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Spring Incubator Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.

We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. If you have any question about this notice or how we use your data, contact us.

The personal data we collect

We only collect what we need:

  • When you book a helpline call: your name, email address, the call type you booked (personal or business), and your marketing-consent choice. Your card details are entered directly into Stripe's hosted checkout — we never see or store your full card number.
  • When you contact us: your name, email address and the contents of your message.
  • When you use the website: cookie-free visit counts through Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, provided by our host Vercel Inc. as our processor. These record the page you view, the site you came from, your browser, operating system, device type, approximate location (from your IP address) and page-load speed. Vercel tells visitors apart for one day only, using a one-way code built from your request that is discarded within 24 hours; it does not store your IP address or set cookies. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in measuring and improving the website. Vercel processes this data in the United States under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and keeps it for 12 months. You can switch it off at any time, free of charge, in Cookie settings or at Turn off visitor counting. Separately, if (and only if) you accept analytics cookies, standard Google Analytics data such as pages viewed, approximate location (from your IP, which Google Analytics anonymises), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.
  • When you click through to NetLawman, we record the time of the click, the page you clicked from and a scrambled version of your IP address and browsing session. We use this only to filter out automated and fraudulent clicks, on the basis of our legitimate interest in accurate affiliate reporting. We keep it for up to 90 days. You can object at any time by emailing brad@legaldocuments.co.uk.

We do not operate user accounts, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. The site and the helpline are intended for adults (18+).

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • Taking and fulfilling your helpline booking, and sending your confirmation — lawful basis: performance of a contract.
  • Notifying our helpline provider so they can deliver your call — lawful basis: performance of a contract.
  • Replying to enquiries you send us — lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to you.
  • Sending marketing emails — lawful basis: your consent (only if you opt in; you can withdraw at any time).
  • Cookie-free visit counting (Vercel) — legitimate interests; Google Analytics — your consent (via the cookie banner).
  • Meeting our legal, accounting and fraud-prevention obligations — lawful basis: legal obligation / legitimate interests.

Who we share it with (our processors)

We use a small number of trusted service providers who process personal data on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions:

  • Stripe — payment processing for helpline bookings.
  • Law Express Ltd — delivers the helpline call you book; we share your name and contact details so an adviser can call you.
  • Resend — sends your booking confirmation and other transactional or (if you consent) marketing emails.
  • Supabase — securely stores your booking record on servers in the United Kingdom (London region).
  • Google Analytics (Google LLC) — website analytics, only after you accept analytics cookies. Google acts as our processor for this.
  • Vercel — hosts the website and provides cookie-free visit counting.

Where you click through to buy a document template, you are taken to Net Lawman, who become responsible for any data you give them under their own privacy policy. We do not sell your personal data to anyone, and we do not pass it to marketers without your consent.

Google Ads (only if you accept advertising)

If you choose "Accept advertising" in our cookie banner, we use Google Ads to measure whether people who click our Google ads go on to buy from us, and to show our ads to people who have visited this site. Google LLC then receives your IP address, browser and device details, the pages you visit here (including any ad-click identifier in the page address) and whether you complete a purchase, and sets cookies on your device whose names begin _gcl_, which last for 90 days. Google uses this information as an independent controller under its own privacy policy, not on our behalf, and may combine it with other information it holds — for example, to personalise the ads you see if your Google ad settings allow it. Our legal basis is your consent. Advertising is off unless you switch it on, and you can withdraw your consent at any time, free of charge, by choosing "Reject advertising" in Cookie settings; we then stop Google Ads and delete its cookies, but this does not affect information Google has already received. Google LLC processes this information in the United States under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Google decides how long it keeps the information: see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and How Google retains data it collects. You can also manage ad personalisation at myadcenter.google.com.

International transfers

Some of our processors are based outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on a UK adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) so your data receives an equivalent level of protection.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records for as long as needed to deliver the service and to meet our legal and accounting obligations (generally up to 6 years for financial records). Enquiry emails are kept only as long as needed to deal with your query. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained for the period set in our Google Analytics configuration. Vercel visit counts: 12 months.

Cookies

We set two cookies to remember your choices: ld_consent (analytics) and ld_ads_consent (advertising), each for 1 year. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are set only if you accept analytics cookies. Advertising cookies (Google Ads; names beginning _gcl_, 90 days) are set only if you choose "Accept advertising", and Google uses them as an independent controller (see "Google Ads" above). Until you choose, neither runs. You can change either choice at any time using "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page, and you can manage cookies in your browser. For more detail, see our cookie policy. Vercel's visit counting sets no cookies; you can switch it off in Cookie settings.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data; to have it corrected or erased; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing already carried out). To exercise any of these, contact us and we will respond within one month.

You also have the right to complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commission (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please contact us before going to the ICO — but you can complain to the ICO at any time.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The version published here is the one that applies when you use the site. This notice was last reviewed on 8 October 2026.
