Affiliate Disclosure

Full transparency on every commercial relationship that funds this site. No hidden arrangements, no surprise charges.

This is a disclosure page. If you’re here because you’re wondering how we pay for the site when most of it is free to use, good — that’s the right instinct. Here’s the full picture.

How we earn

LegalDocuments.co.uk has three revenue streams. All three are disclosed on the relevant pages where they apply, and again here.

1. Template affiliate commission (Net Lawman)

Our document templates are supplied by Net Lawman Ltd, a UK legal publisher. When you click through to buy a template from one of our guides or template pages, we receive a commission from Net Lawman at no extra cost to you, under a standard affiliate arrangement. You pay the same price you’d pay going to Net Lawman directly.

We don’t write the templates. We don’t host them. We’re a referral partner.

2. Helpline call fees (Law Express)

Our telephone helpline is operated by Law Express Ltd, a specialist legal guidance company. When you book a £89 or £149 call, the payment goes through our Stripe checkout, and we split the fee with Law Express under a commercial agreement. The advisers who take your call are employed or contracted by Law Express, not us.

The £89 and £149 prices are the same regardless of whether you book through us or any other partner.

3. Solicitor introductions (future)

We are not currently operating a paid solicitor-referral service. Our Find a Solicitor page points you to the Law Society’s free directory, which we receive no payment for.

In future, we may build a panel of SRA-regulated solicitors who pay us a referral fee for introductions. If we do, this page will be updated in full, every solicitor we introduce will be clearly disclosed as a paid partner, the fee paid to us will be disclosed to every user on the introduction form, and we will comply fully with the SRA Code of Conduct rules on introductions (paragraph 5).

If we’re ever paid for a recommendation, we tell you. If we’re not, we tell you that too.

What we don’t do

For completeness, here’s what we actively don’t do and won’t do:

We don’t sell your data. Not to marketing lists, not to insurance companies, not to claims management companies.

  • We don’t accept payment for editorial coverage. If a company pays us, it’s for a disclosed referral or helpline booking — never to be mentioned favourably in a guide or article.

  • We don’t run paid personal injury referrals. The Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 (LASPO) bans referral fees for personal injury matters. We don’t touch them.

  • We don’t take referral fees in criminal matters. SRA Code rule 5.1(d) prohibits this — we don’t.

  • We don’t use cold outreach. You only hear from us if you’ve actively requested contact.

Why transparency matters here

Our whole positioning is that we help you find the right legal advice — whether that’s through us or somewhere else. That claim only holds up if you can trust that we’re not pointing you at paid partners over better free alternatives.

So: every page on the site that benefits from a commercial relationship has a clear disclaimer. Every template link carries a rel=”sponsored” tag (Google’s standard marker for affiliate links). Every helpline CTA notes that Law Express provides the service. Every change to our commercial relationships will be reflected on this page.

If you spot a page on our site where a commercial relationship isn’t properly disclosed, please tell us — it’s a bug and we’ll fix it.
